The Town of Bedford is searching for a full-time (40 hrs/week) Town Clerk.  Duties include, but are not limited to: supervises department employees and election workers, maintains official municipal records, issues vital records and other various licenses, permits, certificates and official documents, manages the Town and Federal census process, manages all election related activities, serves as clerk of Town Meeting, receives and files meeting notices for Town boards and committees, administers oaths to all elected and appointed boards, prepares and oversees the budget for the department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of state, local and federal statutes and regulations

Knowledge of Town government Meticulous attention to detail

Knowledge of record keeping procedures and practices Excellent people and organizational skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

The hours for this position are Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Salary Range for this position is $87,299 - $100,304.  The Town of Bedford offers a comprehensive benefits package.
